It’s almost done!

Don Hirsch Design Studios, the consultant for our feasibility study, is days away from delivery. The results of the study, jointly funded by South Burlington City Center for the Arts (SBCCArts) and the City of South Burlington, will be used in several ways.

First, the study will be a frank assessment of the financial viability of our proposed project. We cannot, and should not pursue a project like this without a strong conviction that it will be successful and sustainable.

Second, it will be a concise articulation of the potential users of the facility.

Third, it will touch on the wide variety of economic, educational and community development benefits such a facility could represent.

What we want to do for Vermont….

We believe that education, creation and enjoyment of the arts and entertainment can be a critical element in Vermont’s economic health in the 21st Century. Paying particular attention to finding new ways of engaging young workers and new families will be key. Additionally, developing innovative funding sources by creating content and services that can be exported beyond Vermont’s borders will attract world class talent and commercial investment. We live in an age where the demand for entertainment and communications media is exploding. This facility will act as a portal that aggregates talent and creativity, and exports entertainment and knowledge.

It will be a facility that doesn’t just embrace the future, it will help to build it.

It’s not your Grandparent’s theater!
